HP Deskjet 1512 all-in-one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've connected a different printer to my computer and it spits out paper but nothing is printed on it.  Think it may be out of ink but nothing indicates that.  My old printer/computer popped up a window when printer was low or out of ink.

@Carver3,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query on this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

In order that I may provide you with an accurate solution, I will need a few more details.

  • When was the last time the printer was working fine?
  • Have you made any software or hardware changes on the computer?
  • Have you performed any troubleshooting steps before posting?

Meanwhile, I would like to inform you that usually, all the HP printer will show alerts if you are running low on the ink. If you have the printer full feature software installed on the computer, you can check the ink levels on the HP software as well.

As you have mentioned that the printer is printing blank pages, I recommend you make sure there is ink in the cartridges. If there is ink and still you are facing the same issue then, follow the steps in the below article.
