Can anyone advise me? I was replacing black ink cartridge on officejet 4630 when ink leaked from replacement cartridge. During cleaning the area, a small spring which attached to a moveable part to the right of the black cartridge area became dislodged and has disappeared from view. I am not sure how this will affect printer function but it seems to be printing ok at moment. Is it possible to replace the spring. The printer is 2 years old so out of warranty.
thanks

This is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that one spring came off from your HP Officejet 4630 printer. I would like to help you on this.
- That spring is not a replaceable part.
- And if the printer is working fine continue using it,
- If come across any issues on the printer,
- Then contact HP phone support for assistance.
I hope it helps and if you feel I have answered your question and concerns,
Please mark this post as a solution accepted and Kudos would also be appreciated.

I too had a spring get dislodged when I put in a new black cartridge on my HP 5740. I have the spring but not sure where it goes. I see the colored cartridge has a felt piece under it but not the black one. I am getting errors intermittently. Any advice. ?
