I have a solid orange light on printer (wireless) HP2630, the light is next to the information button. When the information button is pressed down a printer information page prints no problem. However I am unable to print from the laptop as it says the printer requires attention. I had a similar problem last year and the printer needed replacing. Is there a fix I can try beofe I spend a few hours onto HP support to try to resolve, or before have to buy a new one? This one is only about 6 months old.

Hi @Crossey
Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you
Due to the current global COVID-19 situation, we're seeing an influx of customers coming in for support. We appreciate your patience.
To better assist you -
- How is the printer connected to the device USB or wireless?
- What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android or an iPhone?
- I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?
- What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
- Are you able to make copies using the printer?
Meanwhile, Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet
