Hi @woofer11,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP printer is automatically printing a report from the local host related to the ink or toner supply status. This could be due to a setting in the HP software or printer firmware that you can adjust.
Here are some steps to stop your HP printer from auto-printing the Devmgmt/productstatusdyn.xml report.
Check Printer Settings:
- Access your printer's settings either through the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Look for settings related to reports, notifications, or status updates.
- Disable any settings that involve automatic printing of status reports.
Disable Automatic Supply Orders:
- If your printer is enrolled in HP's Instant Ink or toner supply service, it might be automatically generating status reports.
- Log into your HP Instant Ink or HP Smart account and check the settings for automatic supply orders or status reports.
- Disable any options that involve automatic printing.
Update Printer Firmware and Software:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates can fix bugs or unwanted behaviors.
- Update the HP software or drivers on your computer.
Check for Print Queue Issues:
- Sometimes, a print job might get stuck in the queue and repeatedly send commands to the printer.
- Clear any stuck print jobs from your computer's print queue.
Reset Printer to Factory Defaults:
- If the issue persists, consider resetting your printer to its factory settings. This can often resolve configuration issues.
- Note that this will erase any custom settings, so you will need to reconfigure your printer after the reset.

- Navigate to Reports or Notifications.
- Look for any options related to automatic status reports and disable them.
Through HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Select your printer from the list of devices.
- Go to Printer Settings or Advanced Settings.
- Find and disable any settings related to automatic status reports.
Through HP Instant Ink or HP Smart Account:
- Log into your HP Instant Ink or HP Smart account.
- Go to the My Account or Settings section.
- Check for any settings related to automatic supply orders or status reports and disable them.
I hope this helps.
