I am trying to store my paper tray back inside the printer, like it was when it was delivered to me, but the bottom paper tray won't slide in. The top part of the paper tray that has the slide out extender has two buttons to push in and slide the top part in, but i can't figure out how to slide in the bottom part (the part that actually holds the paper). I'm trying to fit the printer back inside the original packaging, but the paper tray keeps hitting the styrofoam packaging.

Hi,
Completely remove the paper tray from the printer first.
When the tray is out of the printer, click the button inside while pushing the front of the tray to a locked position:
Insert the top output tray only, press both buttons to lock it into the printer, only then insert the bottom input tray into the printer and both trays will be locked as originally shipped.
