How can HP have the right to stop my printer from working. I was behind on my ink order but have not received any ink in months before. How do they have the right. I have paid for years and don't get ink every month so I should be paid in advance. What the hell? It is my own printer I paid for it does not belong to HP/ I like the ink service but not them having control of my printer or any hp property I may have. Can they just stop my desktop when ever they feel like it. I think they have mess it up at times so I cant use it and have to get support. Well, these are the last HP products purchased by me and my friends.

Hey there! @BarbErickson,
Have you changed the billing address or billing details?
Do you get any error messages while printing?
“Your Instant Ink account page has data on past deliveries and estimated shipments. It also helps you understand what state your cartridges are in based on HP’s data. Any issues will be shown with steps to fix. Please check your account page to see the latest cartridge information by signing into your account at “instantink.com”.
On the instant ink, account page check if the account is in a suspended state.
If a Cancellation in Progress message displays in the My Account section, click Keep Enrollment and then follow the on-screen prompts to stop the cancellation.
If the account is not in a suspended state. Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges on the printer. Remove the billing details from the account page and update the details again.
Refer this article to know more information about updating the billing details. Click Here
If the issue still persists after trying out the steps. Please share out few details through a private message, so I can check the account details and help you with the issue.

As you mentioned you have a due of $5. According to the instant ink policy, you have to pay due in order to print again.
Refer instant ink FAQ for more information. Click Here
Hope this helps!
