HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer

the information button on my DeskJet 2755e will not stop blinking. It will not print anything either. The printer will block the printing job or cancel it all together.

Hi @anrojas

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand you're experiencing an issue with your HP device, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. I'm here to help you today.

Here are a few troubleshooting steps to help resolve the issue:

1. Cancel All Print Jobs

  • Open the Print Queue on your computer (go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, click on your printer, and then select Open Queue).
  • Cancel any pending print jobs by clicking on them and selecting Cancel.

2. Reset the Printer

  • Turn the printer off using the power button, then unplug it from the power source for at least 30 seconds.
  • After 30 seconds, plug the printer back in, turn it on, and check if the blinking stops.

3. Check for Paper Jams

  • Open the printer’s paper tray and check for any paper jams or obstacles inside the printer.
  • If there is any paper stuck inside, gently remove it.

4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free troubleshooting tool from HP that can detect and fix common printing issues.
  • The tool can check for any connectivity issues, driver problems, or configuration errors.

5. Update Printer Drivers

  • Go to HP Support and download the latest drivers for your DeskJet 2755e printer.
  • Updating the drivers can resolve communication issues between the printer and your computer.

6. Check Printer Status in HP Smart App

  • If you’re using the HP Smart app, open it and check for any alerts or notifications regarding your printer's status.
  • The app may provide more details on why the printer is not responding to print jobs.

17. Restore Printer to Factory Defaults

  • If none of the above works, you can restore the printer to its factory settings.
    • Hold the Information and Cancel buttons for 10-15 seconds until the printer resets.

I hope this helps! Keep me posted.

the printer is connected by USB. Here are some photos of what my computer is saying and what the printer is printing when I press the information tab. 20241106_143535.jpg20241106_143525.jpgScreenshot 2024-11-06 2.38.52 PM.png

Thanks. Unfortunately I got tired of the issues and just bought a new printer. An Epson printer to be exact. Thanks for the help. Much appreciated.
