Hi @Burns1Carver ,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
your HP Smart Tank 7001 All-In-One printer is not turning on, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
-
Check Power Connection:
- Make sure that the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and a working power outlet. Consider trying a different power outlet to ensure that the issue is not related to the power source.
-
Inspect Power Cord:
- Examine the power cord for any signs of damage. If the cord is damaged, replace it with a new one.
-
Power Cycle the Printer:
- Turn off the printer, disconnect the power cord, and wait for about 30 seconds. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on. This can sometimes resolve power-related issues.
-
Check Power Button:
- Ensure that you are using the correct power button and that it is functioning properly. Some printers may have a power button or switch that needs to be pressed or toggled to turn the device on.
-
Inspect for Physical Damage:
- Check the printer for any physical damage or visible issues. If there is any damage, contact HP support for further assistance.
-
Perform a Hard Reset:
- If the printer has a removable battery, consider performing a hard reset by removing the battery (if applicable), unplugging the power cord, and holding the power button down for about 15 seconds. Then, reconnect the power cord and try turning on the printer.
- If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's advisable to contact HP support for further assistance. There may be an underlying hardware problem that requires professional attention.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
