i have an officejet 6310 printer and there is a flashing green "camera" light and the printer will not work

@jvm59, Welcome to HP Support Community!

 

I see that your printer has a green flashing light on it, to provide you with an accurate solution, I'd like to know-

  • Is there any error message on the printer?
  • Did you make any changes to the printer recently?
  • What happens when you remove the ink cartridges from the printer?

Also, I'd request you share the picture of the printer with flashing light to further isolate the issue.

To answer your questions:

1. There is no error message on the printer screen - it is blank

But when you look in the PC it indicates that the printer is off-line

2. We did not make any changes to the printer.  It has been working fine and then it stopped working.

3. We tried removing and re-installing the ink cartridges but nothing happened

 

I tried shutting down the printer - unplugged it - but that did not work either

This looks like a hardware issue.

 

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.
