macOS 11.0 Big Sur

My printer starts printing a photo in color and then stops after about 1 inch prints and the queue displays a message "unable to add document to print job" and goes into pause. I can print photos in black and white, and I can print other documents in color. I have removed and replaced the printer from the printers and scanners in system preferences, removed HP Smart and reinstalled it and checked for new software.

Ensure that the printer is up to date with its firmware and Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the links below to update the printer firmware and Mac software:
