I was trying to print an email from  HP laptop (yahoo mail) and it will not print.  I get note with red letters in the printing window saying "something went wrong". I can print a word document and I can also print the email from my cell phone.

I am not tech savvy but am trying to figure this out.....so far I can't figure it out.

Thank you for any help you can provide

If you are viewing the email through your browser, check / consider the setup used to submit the job.

Everything below this line assumes the Full Feature Software is installed and fully functional.

➡️  Chrome Browser may need default printer check / adjustment:

Open web page to be printed

Chrome Settings > Print > Under Destination > Change > Select your Printer as the Default

and / or

➡️  Make sure the Page Setup > Scale is not set to zero size - Select "fit" or other usable print size for the content

and / or

➡️  The settings for the job may be missing or need adjustment.

For example (list is not all inclusive):

  • Printer / Destination
  • Paper Size
  • Margins (check to be sure these are acceptable)

Additional settings may need adjustment in the print dialog > Preferences (printer software / shortcut).

Example - Officejet Pro 9025 - Chrome browser - Yahoo mail

Assumes

The printer software is installed and functional,

Browser is updated and does not need to be restarted due to confusion or updates

➡️  Try Restarting everything, including the router.  This does not fix missing or mis-adjusted settings - restarting all your devices can fix miscommunication issues and minor related problems.

➡️  The Doctor can help with several issues, including driver, connection, and "jobs stuck in the queue".

HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows

➡️  Uninstall printer software from Programs and Features > Restart computer and log in > Download-save-install the Full Feature Software > Restart the computer and log in
