HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer

Trying to print from my HP Envy Photo 7155 printer.  Used to be able to print from our iphones and Ipad and recently get Printer bust message and cannot print from them.  Can print from laptop.  Have checked to be sure that all are on the same wifi network.

Used to be able to print from iphones and ipad.  Can only print from laptop.  Get a Printer busy message when trying to print from iphones or ipad. This is a recent issue.  Used to be able to print from them without issue.

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing issues printing from your iPhone or iPad to your HP Envy Photo 7155 printer. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the "Printer busy" message:

1. Restart Devices and Printer

Restart Your Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Restart Your iPhone/iPad:

  • Power off your iPhone or iPad and then turn it back on.

Restart Your Router:

  • Power off your router, wait for about 30 seconds, and then power it back on.

2. Check Network Connection

  • Ensure your printer and your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network, Make sure the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.

3. Update Firmware and Software

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP Support website.

Update iOS:

  • Make sure your iPhone or iPad is running the latest version of iOS. Go to "Settings" > "General" > "Software Update."

Update HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your iOS devices. Go to the App Store and check for updates.

4. Re-add Printer on iOS Device:

  • Open the "Settings" app on your iOS device.Go to "Bluetooth" and ensure it is turned on.
  • Go to "Wi-Fi" and make sure you are connected to the same network as your printer.Open the HP Smart app, remove the printer, and then add it again by following the on-screen instructions.

5. Reset Printing System on iOS Devices:

  • Open the "Settings" app. Go to "General" > "Reset." Select "Reset Network Settings" (this will reset your Wi-Fi passwords, VPN settings, and cellular settings).

6. Check AirPrint Compatibility

  • Open the HP Smart app or the printer's web interface and go to the printer settings. Check if AirPrint is enabled and properly configured.

7. Clear Print Queue

  • Open the HP Smart app on your iPhone or iPad. Go to the print queue and clear any pending or stuck print jobs.

8. Reset Printer to Factory Settings

  • Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
