Hi @shirburn,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to print to your HP LaserJet P1102w from your Chromebook, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Confirm printer connectivity: Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Chromebook either via USB or wireless. For USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and Chromebook. For wireless connection, check if the printer is connected to the same network as your Chromebook.
  • Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can resolve compatibility issues and improve printer performance.
  • Check printer compatibility: Verify that your HP LaserJet P1102w is compatible with Chromebook. Visit the official HP website or refer to the printer's documentation to confirm compatibility with Chrome OS. Some printers may require additional software or drivers to work with Chromebooks.
  • Install HP Print for Chrome extension: On your Chromebook, open the Chrome Web Store and search for "HP Print for Chrome." Install the official HP Print for Chrome extension, which provides enhanced printing capabilities for HP printers. Follow the instructions to set up the extension and connect your printer.
  • Restart printer and Chromebook: Power off your printer and Chromebook, then turn them back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary connectivity issues.
  • Clear print queue: If there are any pending print jobs in the print queue, clear them out. Open the print queue on your Chromebook, cancel any pending jobs, and try printing again.
  • Reset printer settings: Resetting the printer settings to their default values can help resolve any configuration conflicts. Consult the printer's manual or HP's support documentation to learn how to perform a factory reset on your specific printer model.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
