unable to print word or pdf files but can print test page ok on hp2700 deskjet printer, just prints blank

- Runs through all Diagnostics check ok

- Connects to files and just prints blank

- Can print perfect test pages and HP Smart print test docs

- No word, excel or pdf document printing

 

See this query on search posts but no place gives a clear answer

I didnt get to a logical fix around this problem, given that I could print all the test/status pages perfectly in Black but could not print files of any type from my documents files

I replaced the Black Ink Cartridge in the end. And now it works.

I understand that you are facing issues with printing in Word and PDF. 

 

Try Completely uninstalling Acrobat Reader.  Now go to the Adobe website and download and install Acrobat Reader DC.  Now try.

 

Try Another Program: If you're experiencing this issue with a particular program (like Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat for PDFs), try printing from a different program. This helps determine if the problem is software-specific.

 

Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer settings match the document's requirements. For example, ensure that the correct paper size and type are selected

 

inspect Document Format: Sometimes, if the document has an empty or invisible text box or formatting issues, it might appear blank when printed. Try copying the content to a new document or checking for hidden elements.

 

Restart Printer and Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart of both the printer and your computer can resolve temporary glitches.

 

Print a Different File: Try printing a different Word or PDF file to see if the issue persists. This helps determine if the problem is file-specific.
