I have a new printer - a Envy Photo 6230, however I can't register the printer against either my HPConnect account or for the instant ink. It just says that the claim code is invalid. I have following the instructions on the support website, removed the web services and connected again in order to get a new code but still without any joy. Any suggestions???

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂 I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers. Splendid effort and fabulous description of the issue before posting. Kudos to you on that score. You are a valued HP customer and it is paramount to assist you here. I take it as a privilege to share this platform with you.
After going through your post I see that you have already tried to remove web services as well as enable it and still having the issue.
Let's try these steps here and I'm sure this should take care of your issue.
1. Perform an advanced reset on the printer.
2. Once done, Run the wireless setup wizard and then connect the printer to the home Wi-Fi network.
3. Check if the web services have been enabled. If the Web services are enabled, ,please go ahead and follow the steps to HP Printers - Setting Up an HP Connected Account
HP Printers - Enrolling in HP Instant Ink
HP Connected - Finding the Printer Claim Code
In this scenario, I would suggest the next step would be to perform an advanced reset on the printer. Doing this will reset the printer to the factory settings.
I'm going to send you a private message with the instructions to perform a reset over the private message. The only reason why we're utilizing it is because these instructions are specific to your printer model.
Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.
Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,
Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
I hope this helps resolve this issue completely,
