HP Envy 7155 Ser#
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

When I attempt to print I am receiving "unexpected printer configuration error 0x80040154"

I have run the online diagnostic tools - "no issues were found"

I completed a hard boot of the printer - did not help.

@JohnEtoo, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

Check the connectivity between the printer and the PC

Check for any pending windows updates:

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security Windows Update, and select Check for updates.

Are you using the HP Smart app to print?

If yes, reinstall the app and then try printing.

Let me know how this goes.

Well...

I am now able to print both your web based message and your email, so perhaps it was simply the document that was causing the error.

Thanks for getting back to me - I may circle back to you real soon!
