Can you suggest or recommend an alternative to the 305 or 305XL cartridge that is still compatible with my HP printer? I'm having a hard time finding the 305 or 305XL cartridge in any store.

@angeline_rb,

Welcome to our HP Community forum!

The HP 305 and 305XL cartridges are commonly used in entry-level HP printers, primarily in Europe and Asia. If you are struggling to find these cartridges in the Philippines, here are a few alternatives:

1. HP's Own Alternatives:

  • HP 307 & 307XL – Some HP printers that use 305 cartridges can also support the 307 series (standard and XL). However, this depends on the specific printer model. It’s best to check HP’s official website or the printer’s documentation.  Please provide your printer's model number.

2. Compatible Third-Party Ink Cartridges:

  • Many third-party manufacturers offer compatible ink cartridges for the HP 305 series. If the user is open to trying them, they should ensure the cartridges are from reputable brands with good reviews to avoid print quality or firmware issues.

3. Refilling the Existing Cartridge:

  • If finding a new cartridge is difficult, refilling the existing HP 305 or 305XL cartridge at a local ink refill shop could be an option. However, this may void any warranty and might not always yield the same print quality.

4. Checking Online Retailers:

  • You may have better luck finding the HP 305 or 305XL on Lazada, Shopee, Amazon, or HP’s official store in the Philippines.

5. Summary:

Finding the HP 305 or 305XL cartridges in the Philippines can be challenging due to regional availability. Here are some options to consider:

1. Online Retailers:

2. HP Official Store:

3. Alternative Cartridges:

4. Ink Refilling Services:

  • Local Ink Refill Shops: If purchasing a new cartridge is not feasible, consider visiting local ink refill shops. They can refill your existing HP 305 or 305XL cartridges. However, be aware that refilled cartridges may void any existing printer warranties and might not provide the same print quality as original cartridges.

Important Note: Always ensure that any alternative or third-party cartridges are compatible with your specific HP printer model to avoid potential issues. If uncertain, consult HP's official resources or contact their customer support for guidance.

If you provide your specific printer model, I can assist further in identifying compatible cartridges and where to purchase them.

@angeline_rb,

Upon further research, I found that the HP DeskJet 2320 printer's compatible ink cartridges apparently vary by region:

  • Europe: HP 305 and HP 305XL
  • India: HP 805 and HP 805XL
  • Indonesia: HP 805 and HP 805XL
  • Malaysia: HP 67 and HP 67XL
  • Philippines: HP 682 and HP 682XL

Given that you're in the Philippines, the HP 682 ink cartridges are compatible with your printer. The HP 680 cartridges are not listed as compatible.

Hope this was useful.

Kind Regards,
