If I understand your question, you want to print a document made of B5 size page size onto a single sheet of A4 paper.
Furthermore, you want to increase the distance between the two "sheets" when printed on the paper.
If you have not done so, download-save-install the Full Feature Software for the printer.
After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
What you (can) do depends on the software you are using and the file type (document) you are printing (unknown).
Idea
Example 1 - Word
If you have a Word document that has been created using Page Size "B5", that is, each page of the document is sized in the Layout to 176 x 250 mm / 6.9 x 9.8 inches,
In Margins > Custom Margins > Page Setup > Increase the Gutter to widen the space between the pages.
NOTE: To reduce the gutter, set the size back to 0.0"
Example
Word_B5_Print_2-sheets_1a
Save the file, perhaps under a new name.
The larger "Side margin" stays with the document, even when that document is exported to PDF.
Example 2 - PDF
If you have a Word document that has been created using Page Size "B5", that is, each page of the document is sized in the Layout to 176 x 250 mm / 6.9 x 9.8 inches, export the file to PDF and print the content using PDF reader software.
Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC / Foxit Reader)
- HINT: Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software
Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader DC
Set the Properties to the desired Paper Size (A4)
On the main print menu, set Page Size & Handling = Multiple - "two sheets per page"
The margins and separation are set by the software - the document (in this case) provides the extra "spacing".
The following is not an example of the actual setup for this project.
The example is (only) intended to show the "two sheet" print setting.
Print_PDF_2sheets-per-page_1
Might work.
Perhaps worth a few minutes to find out.
