Hi @stupidforusing,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're experiencing a printing issue with your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer on MacOS Sonoma 14.1. If the printer is making sounds as if it's printing but the pages are coming out blank, there could be a few reasons for this. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Ink Levels

  1. Check Ink Cartridges: Make sure the ink cartridges in the printer have sufficient ink. Low or empty cartridges can cause blank pages.
    • Open the printer's access door and check the ink levels.
    • Replace any low or empty cartridges with new ones if needed.

Print Quality Diagnostic

  1. Print a Quality Diagnostic Report:
    • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Tools > Print Quality Report.
    • This report can help identify any specific issues with print heads or cartridges.

Printer Software

  1. Update Printer Drivers:
    • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed for MacOS Sonoma 14.1.
    • Visit the HP official website, find your printer model, and download/install the latest drivers for your operating system.

Printer Maintenance

Clean Print Heads:

  • Print heads can sometimes get clogged, leading to blank pages.
  • The printer should have a cleaning function in the settings. Run a print head cleaning cycle.
  • Refer to your printer's manual for instructions on how to clean the print heads.

Align Print Heads:

  • Printer alignment ensures proper placement of ink on the paper.
  • Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to align the print heads.

Paper and Print Settings

Paper Type and Size:

  • Ensure that the paper size and type settings in the printer match the paper you're using.
  • Incorrect settings can cause the printer to print blank pages.

Check Print Settings:

  • Before printing, make sure you have selected the correct printer and settings.
  • Verify that the "Use Printer Offline" option is not selected, as this can sometimes cause printing issues.

Restart Printer and Computer

  1. Power Cycle:
    • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.
    • Restart your Mac as well.

If you can't find specific drivers for Sonoma 14.1, you might try using the drivers listed for MacOS Monterey if they are available. This should generally work, as Sonoma is an earlier name for Monterey.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
