Welcome to the HP Community --
Suggestions...
If you did use Insert to add the picture, check / adjust the picture placement / size / alignment to the surrounding text and the lines (single / double spaced).
OR
If you used Copy / Paste, then remove the picture from the Document and use Insert to place the picture into the document.
What else?
Export the document to PDF format and print that.
Why?
PDF does not treat "photos" or image data the same way as would a document (Word).
The data is "flattened" into the formatting. (Yes, that's inaccurate, accept as "good enough" or ignore.)

You are welcome.
Exporting the document to PDF should fix "image" most insert / copy-paste oddities.
More ideas:
=================================================
Try a different photo to test.
Keep the inserted photo away from the edges (margins).
Try creating a new document (Word) - Add a few lines of text, Insert your photo and Fit the size.
Save > Print (just one page)
=================================================
Preferences - Correct odd / wrong-sized Image Sizes (for example, when printed from Word)
Verify / Adjust Setting in Preferences
Windows 10
Windows key > Search for and open Control Panel
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers
Right-Click on your printer > Printing Preferences
Windows 11
Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Check the list of devices – Select / Open Printer
Select Printing Preferences
Next,
Tab Advanced
UNCHECK HP Real Life Technologies
Click OK to save change
OR possibly in this alternate location
Tab Layout > Click Advanced > Switch OFF HP Real Life Technologies
Click OK to save change
=================================================
"Fix the image" as it appears in your Word Document
If you do not already have a copy of the image file, create a file from the image in your Word document.
Open your Word document
Right-Click on the Image
Use "Save-As" and save the image as a .jpg file on your computer.
Pay attention to the folder in which you save the file...
Remove the original photo from the document.
Perhaps Save-as the document (under a different name if you are concerned about editing the original / only copy of the document)
If needful (for example, if you used Save-As and you want to continue with the original document / name -
Open Document
Use Insert > Pictures and insert the image file into your Word document.
Right-Click on the image (after it is placed in the document)
Adjust the Size and Position to move the image inside the document boundaries.
=================================================
Odd, but works for supported versions of Word:
Image in a Text Box
NOTE: This option might not be supported in all versions of Word.
If all else fails and the image won't "stick",
Try / Consider
Insert Text box
Then Insert your image inside the box
Use Insert (as opposed to copy / paste) when placing images into a document
If images will not stay contained in spite of margins:
Insert a Text box of the size necessary to contain the image
Remove the "default text" bits from the box
Insert the Image inside the empty text box
Example
``````````````````````````````````
Word – Document Line Spacing
Word > Line spacing can get you into trouble,
When the other settings are correct, check / set / adjust the line spacing (before / after) the image placement to "single space" (as opposed to Normal).
Open the Paragraph drop down menu > Tab Line and Page Breaks
Check the Pagination and Formatting exceptions --
For example, if lines are broken in awkward places, adjust whether words can be hyphenated.
``````````````````````````````````
Adjust the Image Size and Quality in Word
If it is only the "one" image that is misbehaving, you likely do not have to change this setting...
Word document > File > Options > Advanced
In Section Image Size and Quality
CHECK Do not compress images in file
and
Select a Default Resolution
For example, 330 ppi or 150 ppi
A lower number creates a less dense image (and slightly reduces overall file size).
