I sure this has been asked before but I could not find it. After a OS windows 10 reset, by wifi printer remains unconnected unless I restart the printer for every print job. I have reinstalled the printer/drivers several times but the problem remains.

Well it looks like the problem is solved. Not necessarily by Print doctor, but the printer should not be installed as a network printer, unless you are actually working on a network (something that doesn't appl to me), not just because it's a wifi printer.

I did  that after posting, and while Print Doctor could not correct the issue, it did reinstall the printer drivers again, without installing the printer. I then  installed the printer through device settings, and it looks like it may be working. The issue appears to be the basic driver installation program installed the printer as a network printer. When I installed through the device settings it installed both regular and network printers, with the network printer is grayed out, the regualr printed says it's networked connected. Hopefully this solves the problem. I'll come back to this post a later after I determine if it is fixed over the long run or not.
