Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

i have an officejet 6310 all-in-one printer works great. i have it on my wi-fi system - no problems. Printer prints, scans works great. Each time i turn on my computer Windows 10 gives me an error message stateing that its not connected - but it is connected and it works. the only problem is that Windows 10 will not update and the store apps will not update. I then run troubleshooter and restart my computer everything works great until the next day then no updates? Microsoft states that this is a HP problem? please help

Microsoft was able to fix the update issue with the printer.  I was able to find out that Windows 10 has a problem with multiple printers.  I though it was for the scan and print functions.  When I deleted one everything works great. Thanks

Welcome to HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have an HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One Printer. I read that the printer works fine. But everytime you power on the PC, it gives an error stating that the printer is not connected. Secondly, the Win10 does not update and the Windows Store apps do not update. I appreciate the steps you have performed and have certainly done a good job.

You have isolated the issue well. It indicates that the printer is well connected as the printing and scanning work fine. The evidence points towards the drivers.I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

Are you using an HP computer. If yes then please let me know the compute model no. This link will help you to find the model no: http://hp.care/2bygf7l

Please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor software. This is a free tool for Windows to help resolve issues with the printer drivers.

If the issue persists and the PC continues to say that the printer is not connected, then I suggest you to uninstall the printer drivers from the root level and then reinstall them. The below steps will help:

  • In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
  • Select your HP printer.
  • Select Uninstall.
  • In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
  • In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
  • Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
  • Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
  • Click on Drivers tab.
  • Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click Remove at the bottom.
  • Select OK.
  • Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
  • Close Devices and Printers.
  • You may download and install the drivers from this link

I hope this helps to fix the issue. Feel free to let me know the results. Good luck! 🙂

WHAT DID YOU DELETE???? MY PRINTER WON'T LET ME PRINT AND I KEEP GETTING AN ERROR: "CARTRIDGE ERROR"  STATES THAT CARTRIDGE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED?  I JUST BOUGHT A NEW ONE AND REPLACED IT AND IT STILL HAS THE ERROR. IS THERE SOMEWAY THIS CAN BE FIXED WITH WINDOWS 10?

THANIK IN ADVANCE FOR YOU HELP
