I've always been able to rotate each page after a 2 sided scan on my wireless connected 6970.
Just recently that has changed.
Now when the second page is selected it only shows 2 dots in the blue box which showed 3 for the first page.
There is no reaction when this box is clicked with only 2 dots.
Any advice gratefully received.

Hi @Skewsy39,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 6970 is having trouble recognizing or handling the second page of your two-sided scan. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Update HP Smart Software: Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed. Outdated software can sometimes cause issues with scanning functions.
Check Printer Firmware: Make sure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find firmware updates in the printer's settings menu or through the HP Smart app. Update the firmware on an HP printer
Restart Devices: Restart your printer and computer. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve temporary glitches.
Reconfigure Scan Settings:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Go to the scanning options and check if there’s a setting for handling double-sided scans.
- Ensure the "Scan Both Sides" option is selected and configured properly.
Check Scan Settings on Printer:
- Use the printer's control panel to access the scan settings.
- Verify that the settings for scanning both sides of the page are correctly configured.
Scan from Different Applications: Try scanning using a different application, like Windows Fax and Scan or any other scanning software, to see if the issue persists.
Inspect Scanner Glass: Ensure there are no obstructions or dirt on the scanner glass that might affect scanning.
Reinstall HP Smart App: If updating doesn’t help, try uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP Smart app to clear any potential software conflicts.
