We have a HP Digital Sender 9250c that on power up displays the following message:
49.FF09 - Error
Turn off then on
We have reseated the SATA cable to the HD, I got another HD from Ebay for this unit and still get the same error.
I have also tried a cold reset and initialize disk with no luck.
I have found references where that error is a possible firmware issue but the unit won't boot up to try and upgrade the firmware... if that's even the issue.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does the same thing happen if the printer is disconnected from the network (I'm assuming that you are using an Ethernet connection) before you power-off then power-on again?
If it does, then there is a problem with the printer itself.
If not, then it may perhaps be invoked by some system sending a 'rogue' job (not necessarily a conventional print job) to the device.

1. Turn off the digital sender.
2. Turn on the digital sender.
3. Immediately after turning on the device, press and hold down the #9 key (do not wait for the memory-count). When the three status LEDs are illuminated, release the #9 key.
4. Press the #3 key one time and then press Start.
5. Press the #3 key two times until the display reads NVRAM INIT.
6. Press the #6 key once to initiate the NVRAM initialization. The product will continue its boot-up sequence.

Can you share the Boot up sequence A/F - 1/6 which appears while device is trying to boot to ready ?
