I have the same no attachment problem with my new 5740 printer. Why are people tryig to recommend that we use our phone to scan documents.

The problematic feature is scan to email. Let's get that problem solved before introducing aditional hardware solutions.

Thanks.

I totally agree. Mine is not working either. This problem started yesterday. I used different email accounts, and it's all the same. No attachment.

It works now because HP fixed the problem. None of the other suggestions worked. I just had to wait it out.

Please help me. I had this same problem of no e-mail attachment 2 weeks ago, went away on vacation, returned and now am getting the message that I have no wireless network connection. However, my Wireless network test results are a PASS on all features and it reads "Congratulations on the successful setup of your wireless printer."

I turned off my HP Phtosmart 7520, turned it back on. Re-entered the internet account name and password, but get the error message "No network". Checked for upgrades, not needed. Everything works. I can scan to a thumb drive, etc. All tests are fine until I press that "scan to email" button, then the error message pops up.

What else can I try?

Thank you

Patricia

I can now answer my own question  or rather, reading through all pages of responses to this question, found the solution that worked from HeyListen, so thank you HeyListen!

For any others wondering:

1. First Restore Network Defaults. Then restart the printer. Go to Settings and use the Wireless Setup Wizard to set up the system again.

2. Then I had to go to 'Web Services" and remove it. Then go to 'Web Services' again and go through a new setup process.

Having done both steps (restoring the network defaults and setting up a new system #1 above) alone, did not work...both steps were needed.

Hope this helps someone else who suddenly lost their "scan to email" options (for no apparent reason).

Hi,

I am glad I looked at the HP forum.  This is the problem I am having since yesterday using the HP Scan software by using the top tray since it was several pages. I even used my alternate email address and there was not scanned document in the email. I broke down this morning and went and purchased a flash drive and scanned it to the flash drive and uploaded the document through the email that way. Now, I don't feel so frustrated knowing others are having an issue with this as well.  What is the resoultion to the problem? Thanks so much! MsC49
