HP 6950: Adf takes paper, and the paper just go through. I can normal copying and scannig on the glass.
I upgrade to latest firmware, reset to factory settings, downgrade, rest…nothing help.
On the printer screen is wrote: The document feeder is not able to pick up the original. Make sure the document feeder cover is closed….
but feeder takes the paper, the optical reader moved to right positio to the small glass used for copying-scanning from the adf. When scanner should start to scan, nothing happen…paper just goes through, …
I would buy new one but don’t know if this is hardware or software-drivers issue.

Welcome to the HP User Community.
One of the models in the OfficeJet 6950 series is the OfficeJet 6954 - the model was introduced in 2016.
Another model (6958) is circa 2017.
So, could be hardware - the printer is not new.
That said, the place to start is with a good cleaning of the printer, including the ADF.
- An 'Out of Paper' error displays, printer does not pick paper (More complete cleaning options)
- Automatic document feeder (ADF) does not pick paper or feeds too many sheets
Next,
Test the scan / ADF using a document that you know has scanned in the past.
Choose a document that is printed on a standard quality paper in a supported size.
Reminder: This model in the series does not support automatic two-sided scan operation. For that you need a different model in the series (697x) or a different OfficeJet Pro model printer.
