Hello.
After downloading the software from HP web site
"hp_M1530_MFP_full_Solution_15188" (173 MB), i've made the full path to install both printer and scan features.
The print-part it's working fine. The scanning... not so well... because the scan hardware it's not even recognized.
I've been following the foruns and trying some of the advance options...
The last one was running the HP PRINT and SCAN DOCTOR...
What more can i do? Please HELP...

Hello, @RASGOMES
Please try the steps below to try and clean install the printer drivers. Here are the steps:
- Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
- Go to Control panel – Add or remove programs – Select all the HP LaserJet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now, try using a cleaner program like "Cleaner" to clean your temp files and registry.
- Restart your computer.
- Now click on http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL34693/Im-86005-5/hp_M1530_MFP_full_Solution_15188.exe to download and install the printer drivers.
- Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.
Restart the printer and PC once done and then try scanning.
Let me know if that works!
Cheers 🙂

Hello, @Andrerep – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!
I see that you are having issues while printing scanning your Officejet printer. WIA is a component of Windows OS which helps in scanning.
Please verify the following OS services are enabled and try scanning again:
- Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open
- Type services.msc and click OK.
- Locate the 'Shell Hardware Detection' in the list. If it is not enabled/started, make sure to enable/start the service. Also, make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically from its properties.
- Locate the 'Windows Image Acquisition (WIA)' in the list. If it is not enabled/started, make sure to enable/start the service. Also, make sure the Startup Type set as Automatically as well
- Locate the 'Remote Procedure Call (RPC)' in the list. Perform the same steps as above.
- Restart the PC and check for issue resolution.
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Good luck 🙂
