HP 6978 Scanning to Win10 using HP Scan app.
When scanning from the flatbed, app will not let me scan more than one page at a time.
After one page, it opens the Save As dialog and that's it.
Multiple pages must be scanned and saved as individual files.
However it will scan multiple pages when using the document feeder, allowing me to save them all as a single document.
This just started recently.
Have tried reinstalling the drivers from scratch.
Any ideas?

Hello @GregW1967,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
First change:
then reduce the resolution
to 300 ... 75 ppi.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I don't normally Save To Jpeg, but when I checked it, scanning multiple pages works fine. But only on Jpeg. And even at high resolutions.
However the problem is with Save To PDF. And even reducing the resolution to 75dpi there didn't help.
???
Thanks.

OK
But the procedure is the same, between JPEG and PDF scan, there is no difference!
Then describe step by step, your procedure, how you try to scan multiple pages!
P.S. if a message appears on the screen, take a screenshot of it.

Not doing anything different. Same as I've done for years.
If I Save to PDF using document feeder, it scans and saves multiple pages. On the flatbed scanner it immediately gives me the Save As dialog as soon as the scan finishes. I do not get the blue Add Page icon at the bottom left.
If I click on Save as Jpeg and click Scan with no other changes, it scans the page and displays in the preview pane as a thumbnail, gives the blue Add Page icon on the bottom left, and waits for me to either save the single page or add a page(s).

The screenshots you posted only show Save As Jpeg. As I said previously Save As Jpeg works fine.
What doesn't work, and what I need to work is Save As PDF. And changing the resolution to 75dpi doesn't make a difference.
