I can only scan using 2.4G WIFI. If I attempt to use 5G Wifi, I get an error message stating "no driver installed. Since 5G is much faster, I use 5G in lieu of 2.4G. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Finding out more info. Looks like from the printer side you can select either one or both. From you description it will select different SSID's.
Thanks for now.

That is correct. The printer is not supported on the 5G band, only the 2.4G band. There will be no speed difference anyway since the printer works at a fixed rate. Enable the 2.4G band with a different SSID name of your 5G band and print and scan away.

Ah... that is newer printer that does appear to support the 5G band now.
From the sales literature...
Enjoy a reliable wireless connection with Dual Band Wi-Fi,1 broadcasting both 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz signals. If the 2.4 GHz signal is overcrowded, your printer automatically changes to the 5 GHz frequency so your printing is uninterrupted.

Actually this is new, so I have no idea and can not test this at all. But the 2.4G band is actually becoming less crowded as other devices are moving to the 5G band.
Can you help me out here?? I have a few questions.
1. Is the 2.4G and the 5G band separately configurable to use either one and/or both?
2. If your router allows this ( it shouldn't), but if the 2.4G and the 5G band have the same SSID name, can you select which one to connect to? And how would you know which one it connects to?
The 2.4G and the 5G bands must have separate SSID names. This is the only way to tell which one the device is connected to.

When I click on the WIFI symbol on the task bar, A list of all available closeby networks including my 2.4G & 5G networks. If I am using the 5G there is a "Disconnect" label on it. The 2.4G is listed there with no disconnect label on it. I would assume that only one network is active at a time. When FIOS upgraded my router to both bands, I added Rosewill wireless utility which when I am using 5G, shows that it is connected & 2.4G is not conected.
