I will soon be getting a new HP printer and need to clear the memory in my existing HP printer before giving it to a relative. The memory mainly contains scans of identification cards, passports, etc. so it is very sensitive information. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hello, @RGB8 – Hope you are well 🙂
Welcome to the HP Forums, I'd be happy to help you with your printer issue!
I understand that you are concerned about the information stored in your printer. You need not worry, as this printer does not have a memory to store processed jobs. No information is stored in the printer if you perform a copy, scan, fax or print.
Simply restart the printer and you can safely give it away.
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
Good luck 🙂
