How can I use the HP InkOfficeJet 3830 to digitize/scan 35 mm color slides and film photo negatives?

Best quality is obtained by using a scanner designed for this purpose. These scanners have a back light that illuminates the slide or negative. Software then converts the negative to positive. If your scanner does not have an illuminated lid, look for a different scanner.
