The document feeder does not work when scanning. It works fine for printing.

Have you tried making a standalone copies of multiple documents and check if the feeder works fine?

Which application do you use to scan?

 

Make sure the right source is selected on the scanning application before scanning.

In HP Easy Scan:

Selecting the Scan both sides of page check box

 

In Apple Image capture > Scan mode

 Apple Image Capture

 

Refer to this document to know how to scan from a MAC.

 

If the issue is not resolved, perform steps mentioned in this document and try again.
