Hi @ChuckinGuam,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The HP Envy 7855, like most modern printers, does have some memory to store print and scan jobs temporarily. However, this memory is generally volatile, meaning it is cleared when the printer is turned off or loses power. Non-volatile memory, which retains information even after the device is powered off, is typically used to store settings, preferences, and firmware, rather than user print and scan jobs.
To be sure that no personal information remains on the printer, you can perform a factory reset before giving it away. This will clear all stored data, settings, and any temporary memory.
Here's how you can perform a factory reset on the HP Envy 7855.
- Turn on the printer.
- Open the Setup menu: From the printer’s control panel, touch the Setup icon.
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance: Scroll down and select Printer Maintenance.
- Select Restore: Choose Restore from the menu options.
- Select Restore Factory Defaults: Confirm to restore the printer to factory settings.
This process will ensure that all your print and scan jobs, along with any personal settings, are erased from the printer's memory.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Thank you Alden4. Yes, this helps. I was giving many things to charity and I gave this printer away. Even though I should know better, I did not wipe the computer. I am fairly certain that there were no print jobs on the que. Your answer does provide me with some assurance that all my prints and scans were not given away. I thank you.
Have a great day
