I have just set up an OfficeJet 8014e all in one printer which should have automatic double sided scanning. It is only scanning one side of each page. I use Mac and am on the newest update - Monterey version 12.6. I tried the advice for a similar post but I think this was for a windows user as I did not get any prompts to flip pages when i ran the scan through HP Smart on my iPhone. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
Disappointing news:
The OfficeJet Pro 8012 / 8014 models do not support automatic two-sided scanning.
You might be thinking about the OfficeJet Pro 9010 / 9020 series (both support this feature - the 9025e, in fact, supports two-sided single pass scanning of supported paper from the ADF).
Example
Product Specifications for the HP OfficeJet 8012 All-in-One Printer (1KR71B)
Scan supports one-sided scan from the ADF:
Maximum ADF scan size (metric) | 216 x 356 mm (one-sided); A4 |
So, you can scan two-sided but it must be done manually, that is one side > flip > add the other side.
