Hi @John6913,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
Yes, you can download and install the necessary scan drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e All-in-One Printer on macOS 10.13 High Sierra without changing your operating system. Here’s how you can do it:
Download and Install HP Easy Start
Go to the HP Support Website:
- Visit the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
Enter Your Printer Model:
- In the search box, type "OfficeJet Pro 9125e" and press Enter.
Select Your Operating System:
- The website should automatically detect your operating system. If not, select "macOS 10.13 High Sierra" from the list.
Download HP Easy Start:
- Look for the HP Easy Start application in the list of available software and drivers.
- Download and install HP Easy Start on your Mac.
Run HP Easy Start:
- Open HP Easy Start and follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer and install the necessary drivers, including the scan driver.
Use Apple Image Capture
You can also use Apple’s built-in scanning software, Image Capture, which usually works well with HP printers:
Open Image Capture:
- Go to Applications > Image Capture.
Select Your Printer:
- In the Image Capture window, select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e from the list of devices on the left.
Scan Your Document:
- Configure your scan settings and click Scan.
Kindly check the next steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @John6913,
Please find the next steps below.
Additional Steps if HP Easy Start Doesn't Work
If HP Easy Start doesn’t provide the scan drivers you need, you can manually add the printer and use Apple’s built-in drivers:
Add the Printer Manually:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the + button to add a new printer.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e from the list.
Use the AirPrint Driver:
- In the Use dropdown menu, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint.
- This will use Apple's built-in printer driver which includes basic scanning functionality.
By following these steps, you should be able to download and install the necessary scan drivers for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e on macOS 10.13 High Sierra. If you encounter any issues, I recommend you contact phone support.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
