Product: HP Laserjet Pro MFP M426fdn
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The printer has the ability to scan duplex, and does so very nicely from the document feeder when using the touch screen panel.  However, when using the HP Scan software utility on the computer (attached by USB cable), the only option available is one sided - the drop down does not offer the two-sided as a source option.  How can I get it to offer the two-sided as a scan option?

Please try this scan solution:
 
HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Make searchable PDF scans with this free scanning software -   https://www.naps2.com/
