I have the same problem with Easy Scan after Ventura upgrade.....but in addition to that HP App does not connect to the scanner (HP Envy 5055) - it only connects to the printer part, tells me how much ink is left etc.  If I got to Settings and open scanner then I can scan right from there but only one page at a time.

I have the same issue just started after the update. However, I found an easy temporary solution for it.

1-You can scan as you usually do, click done or other documents. When you have done!

2-Send it to the printer instead of folder.

3- save it as a pdf in the bottom left then another pop up appears for what you want name and save the file. 

4- hit save and it should show just fine like normaly you do with sending to folder.

Discovering I had the same problem, I used the checkbox "PDF - SEARCHABLE " in the save dialog and  a PDF with NON-BLANK pages is created.

I have the same problem. 2 work arounds. 1. Select print from within Easy Scan and choose save to pdf. 2 (as someone else has mentioned) save as PDF/A file. But would really prefer HP to fix this ASAP.

Thank you, that worked well for one-page documents.  It didn't work for documents that have more that one page.

Yes, correct, the same with me and you may not even notice it at first. Another reason for HP to fix it!

When I called Apple one suggestion was to use Image Capture, which did work for me.
