Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Did you install the package I linked to already?

Try that, then restart. Then uninstall and reinstall the printer through Printers & Scanners. If you can't re-install, try getting the 5.1 driver package, restarting, and trying again. Let me know how it goes:  https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1888?locale=en_US

I downloaded the software package from your earlier post & installed it. I got printing back but not scanning. I uninstalled/installed in System Preferences but scanning still not working.

At this point I am unsure of what next steps to take.

I appreciate your help. It is 10:25p on the east coast. Whatever you suggest will be tried tomorrow.

If you installed the 5.1 I linked above, and then reinstalled using system preferences, I would see if any HP software is available for reinstallation. What model device is this?

HP Officejet Pro L7500. I tried the driver software from HP but it had the expired certificate.

I will try another go at this in the morning.

I went to 'HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads'

and downloaded the driver. It worked.
