Fax Tone Interference with Phone

I have a home office with Mac Laptop, Office Phone, and HP Officejet 8625. I have my Officejet connected to my 1-line phone jack, and when I receive a phone call I have a Fax tone on the line. How do I eliminate this?

I followed the instructions and then increased the number of "rings" from 2 to 5, so I'll try that solution. Thanks for your assistance.
