Common problems HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to scan
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.
HP Recommended

I have  upgraded my three laptops to Windows 11 and wanted to get all three to scan in the same manner.  I used HPSmart on two of them (HP15-dy5073dx and  HP15t-dw300) and am able to scan on two HP printers.  HPSmart shows options Get Supplies, Scan, Shortcuts, Printables, print documents, mobile fax, Help&Support, print photos, printer settings.

However, on my HP360, when I load HPSmart - the first 4 options are missing so it seems I cannot use HPSmart to SCAN.

Why the difference on my HP360?   The HP Scan app by itself also does not seem to work on the HP360.

Hi @canded,

That’s great to hear, sounds like a clean uninstall/reinstall cycle cleared out whatever was causing HPSmart to misbehave.

Sometimes the printer software holds on to old configuration files or partial installs that block certain features, and starting fresh forces it to rebuild everything properly.

Glad you’re back up and scanning without a hitch!

If you need any assistance in the future, please do keep us posted

Take care and have an amazing day!

Hi @canded,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thanks for the detailed context. It sounds like your HP360 laptop is not showing the full set of features in the HP Smart app, particularly the Scan and Shortcuts options, even though it works fine on your other two laptops. To check why the Scan tile is missing in HP Smart on your “HP 360,” could you please share the exact model of your PC? (Many x360 families exist: Pavilion x360, ENVY x360, Spectre x360, Chromebook x360, so the precise model helps.)

Please provide:

  • Full product name and Product Number (p/n)
    • You can find this via Fn + Esc (HP System Information) or HP Support Assistant > My devices. In private, not in public

Once we have these details, we’ll review your configuration and share the next steps to get scanning working on that device.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Thank you very much for getting back to me.     However, yesterday, I decided to "uninstall and remove" all three of my printers, and then one-by-one reinstall the printers.  After each re-install I ran HPSmart and each time it did have all of the options.  So now I can easily scan using HPSmart.

Thanks again for responding.
