How can I scan an 11x17 document from the printer touch screen?

Can I create a Scan shortcut in the printer (not in the computer)?

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

The HP FULL feature software must be installed first.

Refer to this resource if needed:

In order to scan from the printer's touchcreen, take note of the follow points:

First point to note is that the Scan to Computer takes the settings from the Software.

Second point is the the HP Scan Software, Source must be "Flatbed" and the Page Size "Entire Scan Area" and these settings must be saved before Scan to Computer.

Third point is is Scan to Computer must be "Enabled"

How to use "Scan to Computer" feature properly

Having said that, please follow these steps to scan 11 x17 from printer's touch screen.

1. Enable Scan to Computer

2. Start a scan e.g. Save as PDF and select the Page Size to be "Entire Scan Area" and Source to be "Flatbed".

3. Save the settings

 

4. Place 11x17 document on the flatbed

5. On the Printer front panel, select Scan to Computer and then "Scan".

6. After scanning the first page, there will be a prompt to "Do you have another item to scan", select "Finish" or Add item".  If there is no response after ~10 seconds,  the scanned page will automatically appear on the File Explorer on the computer. (e.g. Scan001.pdf).
