HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdw duplex scanning to email

has anyone been able to scan duplex to email on a M479fdw. I can only see duplex when creating copies or scanning to a network drive. It is really stupid to put a duplex function but not allow it to be used when emailing. My company basically only uses email and print functions.

Just troubleshooted a similar issue and the problem was that there was an attachement size limit on the smpt server of 1mb.

After increasing that limit to 10mb, the problem was gone.

the default scan setting of medium quality and 300 dpi scan 1 page as 1mb, so a duplex scan of a single page is 2mb.

You can try setting the quality to the lowest and see if that is also the problem for you.

This is not the issue.  There is no option to send an email from a duplex scan.
