OS Windows 10
Firmware updated
Using HP Smart
When I scan an A4 sheet it shrinks the scanned document to about 50% size on the screen. This also happens when I print. I select A4 paper size but the document prints smaller than selected. ????

Hi @Brit58050
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
Make sure your scanner is set to the highest possible resolution. Also, this has nothing to do with Reader, which is not involved in the process of scanning and creating the PDF file.
check the size settings as well of your scanner's software. It's usually related to the resolution (although the two are not the same).
Also, check your Reader print settings. There is an option to shrink to fit. Turn it off to keep the size stable.
You may also refer to this document for further assistance.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
