Copying from document feeder works fine, but when I scan, it won't pull the paper into the feeder on top. It does draw into the feeder on the copy function. Scanning from the glass works fine, but not really an option when I have a multi-page document. It used to work and does not work any longer. I saw older Q&A's but none address Windows 10 solutions, which is my OS. Please help!

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums.
Please ensure that the Source is selected as "Use Document Feeder if loaded"
This resource will show you how it's done:
Scanning multiple pages using the ADF and Scan Glass
(video is a bit soft so turn up the volume)
Hope that helps!

Thank you very much for your reply. My issue is that the ADF stopped working when scanning multiple pages only. It scans if I use the glass. It was working with the ADF before. Now the ADF is not grabbing the paper - but only while scanning. It works when copying multiple pages. I have Windows 10. I saw other solutions for Windows 7, but not for Windows 10.

Hi,
Were you attempting to scan to computer? (from the printer's front panel?)
If you are, watch this resource on how to "Scan to computer properly".
We assume that you have the FULL feature software installed.
How to use "Scan to Computer" feature properly
(different printer but the steps are the same - save a scan settings , then scan to computer)
Hope that helps!

Hi,
For Scanning, are you using the HP Scan?
If you are using the HP Scan, please ensure that the SOurce is set as "Use document feeder if loaded". Example:

Thank you. I think this solved my problem, but I had to figure out how to find these particular settings because my screen and options looked nothing like what was in the video. I have Windows 10 and it uses the "app", which looks totally different than the video.

Hi @raydunc,
You're using the HP Smart apps. We'd recommend that you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
The following resource will help you :
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
The interface would be the same as what was shared.
For more scanning tips on the HP Scan software (within the FULL feature software), click here.
Hope that helps.
