Trying to install an HP upgrade to get my HP Scanjet G2710 to work again after it failed when upgrading my MAC to OS X 10.12.3
HP don't seem to support this model anymore for the latest MAC Sierra version?
The latest HP upgrade on offer was for 10.9, but doesn't seem to work for OS X 10.12.3
Most gratefull if anyone has come accross it or even better, has a sollution?
Cheers

This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. WHY is this not NOTIFIED to users instead of being discovered by trial and error??? I just spent AN HOUR scanning a document, only to find I am unable to save it. I shall now have to scan the ENTIRE THING again. Absolutely DISGRACEFUL "customer service" from Hewlett Packard 😞 😞 😞

To save a file you have already scanned and will lose if you delete the HP Scan application then reinstall it: select File_Print. Select your desired print settings. Select the arrow next to PDF (bottom left corner of print dialogue box), then Save as PDF. Select save location and enter desired filename. Select Save. This will save your immediate file without having to re-scan, but will not of course fix the ongoing problem. Now go ahead and follow the instructions others have posted to fix the ongoing problem.

I had the same post Scanning issue on my MACbook Pro running OS High Sierra Version 10.13.16 whilst using HP Officejet Pro 8600 AIO Scanner and could not save any of the files.
I followed Shlomi's advice i.e moved HP Scan App [from HP Utility in Launch Pad} to trash and emptied Trash . Installed Easy Scan using the Link in Shlomi's reply and the problem is now resolved.
PS If you were using HP Scan before you trashed it, you must restart the MAC, otherwise it keeps looking for your printer as the MAC remembers the previous App settings.
Thank you Shlomi, Excellent advice and guidance.
