Operating System: iOS

I upgraded my macOS from High Sierra to Mojave (Version 10.14). After the upgrade, my scanner app (HP Scan 3) no longer work. Message states, "Check with developer to make sure HP Scan 3 works with this version of macOS. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and macOS." I check on HP's website for any update on HP Scan 3 or my printer (HP Officejet Pro 8600 N911n Premium), but there is no update available for macOS. Need help, please...

Hi,
From your Applications folder or its HP sub-folder delete any existing HP Scan or HP Easy Scan application, delete it by moving it to trash, then empty the trash.

Next, install the latest HP Easy Scan below, it will be installed within the Applications folder:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-easy-scan-1_...

If you experience any further issues, ensure the latest software is installed by following HP Easy Start below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Finally, ensure your drivers are up to date by clicking the Apple icon, select About this Mac and then press Software Update.
Click Store on the top menu bar, click Reload Page, click Update All if any updated are available.

After installing HP Easy Scan, all of my presets went away and the Presets menu with "General Purpose" is grayed out.  Am I no longer able to change scanning resolution, image size, etc.?  Where did my previous presets go?

Using HP Photosmart 5525.  Running Mojave 10.14.1 on an iMac with HP Easy Scan 1.9.2 (122)

I have followed your instructions. Everything is updated and yet the HP ENVY 5640 still refuses to copy or scan properly although it prints normally. I can only assume that this is a software problem.

What happens when you try to copy?

A copy problem would not be affected or related to the software in any way and may indicate any hardware related issue..

Used Shlomil's fix today, worked perfectly first time.  Would you happen to know why my MacBook Air will not communicate with the printer via the home wi-fi?  Always have to switch to printers wi-fi to print or scan.  Have reset printers wi-fi priority selection many times to no avail.
