My printer is capable for duplex scanning and black and white scanning. I tried to use HP Smart app (iOS) to scan documents, but only found color and grayscale scan options, no black and white scan, nor duplex scanning. The size of scanned PDF file in grayscale  by HP Smart app is much larger than black and white PDF file scanned by machines of other brands.
