Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

OfficeJet 8620
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

With the new version of HP Smart, I can no longer scan from my OfficeJet Pro 8620.

When I go into the scan section, I get a message "Scanning is currently Unavailable". 

 

The old application HP Scan is still working fine but I would rather use HP Smart.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

 

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App and also, sign in to you HP Smart Account again.

Unfortunately still the same issue.... I still have the message 'Scanning is currently unavailable' when I click on 'Scan' button.

Please download and install the software of your Printer from here to scan :

https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers
