HP Smart was saving scanned images to Google Drive, but now won’t save the image to Google Druve. HP Smart will save to Apple iCloud. Do you know why?

From Google Drive Help:
Scan documents with Google Drive
Tab iPhone & iPad
Excerpted
You can’t scan documents with Google Drive on iPhone and iPad.

Why / How was this working previously on your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer using iOS?
No idea though it does appear that Google Drive does not support iOS.
Other comments / examples
HP Smart supports the concept of Shortcuts (explained in the original content area later in this message).
Google Drive is listed in HP Smart Shortcuts as a possible destination.
The listing is not an automatic declaration of support - Google Drive must accept the data and support access to the location.
Folder Access and permissions are generally easier to administer in Windows than in mobile devices.
That said, any cloud storage location is subject to control by its application.

Examples
This HP document on the subject explains how to set up the Google Drive application on a printer that supports a printer control panel.
Relevant? Unknown - the list of supported printers appears to be out of date. ?

The following document explains the Scan to Google Drive procedure for supported HP Enterprise printers.
True: Enterprise printers are not the same as a home consumer model.
There might be setup similarities with other supported printers - for example, if scanning to a PC, you need both the Google Drive app for PC and you must set up the destination folder with the correct permissions.

It might be as simple as needing to (re)sign-in to your Google Drive account.
HP Smart provides a means of creating a Shortcut to save to your Cloud storage.
Example shows OneDrive - change the setup to your Google Drive account / storage

Where available, Shortcuts can be configured for several print tasks.
- Print: Send a print job to your printer
- Share: Send an email message with attachments
- Save: Save a file locally (on the computer) or save to a cloud storage account, such as Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive

HP printers - Use HP Smart app Shortcuts
- Some printers support “printer panel display” shortcuts (shortcuts on the printer)
- How-to and setup details are included in the document.

the HP Smart app (shortcut to save to gdrive) errors out and refuses to save the document. I have resigned in and ran the test on new shortcuts on 3 different devices which all fail. i then used a forth device with a new account and created a new shortcut to a new gdrive with same results.
In short it appears that this is not user error. perhaps google api changed and hp has not caught on yet?

As of this time I have received nothing from HP. I've tried different ways to reach support to no avail.
I don't believe they're supporting the app any longer. Or at least don't care to respond to support requests. It appears there are still issuing updates but not responding to support.
