Hi!
I'm having problem with the horribly poor quality of scans. I try to scan my original artworks but they come out blurred, even with the highest 1200dpi. They are not blurred in real life but sharp.
What is wrong with the HP scanning, do I just have to buy a better printer? I've seen a lot of complaints about HP scanning quality here and elsewhere, and maybe HP just is a poor quality product?
Tried to get help from HP Support WhatsApp chat, but that was an exercise in futility.

What else?
As you know, the DeskJet line is indeed an economy series --
That said, there is nothing inherently inferior about the scanning mechanism.
Suggestions:
- Increase the speed and quality of your network connection.
- Increase the amount of resource available on the destination -- for example, do not overload the destination machine with too many processes and do consider increasing that machine's capacity (Add RAM, faster CPU).
- Reduce the number of connections on your network --
- Update your router's firmware and or check the placement, age, or capacity of the router to manage your network. Weak or outdated router can inhibit clear communications.
- Consider that 1200 DPI is going to use much more resource, is substantially slower to complete, and does not increase quality unless the original content is of very high quality. There is a point of diminishing returns.
Should you believe the issue is located in the printer, check / update the printer's Firmware.

Yeah, but...
You must decide for yourself whether the product you are using, both model and brand, meet your requirements.
We do not judge nor do we claim one or another brand is "poor" -- doing so is simply not within our mission.
As to the model, the DeskJet models include a moderate amount of onboard memory and capacity.
There are models (HP and any other) that include more onboard memory and additional other features, too.
A higher grade machine (printer) is still dependent on the other items mentioned - for example, network, destination capacity.
